Lauren Rascoe is a two‑time Telly Award–winning filmmaker, first bringing her self-written poem Child of the Sun to life as a 2022 short film, then receiving a 2024 Silver Telly Award in the Motivational – Online category. The film’s emotive tone, visual rhythm, and personal origins marked Lauren as an emerging creative voice who thrives on deeply human storytelling rooted in poetic expression. The film also won awards for Best Narrative Short and Audience choice at various film festivals.

Her behind‑the‑camera confidence quickly translated to multi‑hyphenate leadership on Reckless Behavior: The Series, a Michaela P. Shelton–created drama available on platforms such as Tubi and Amazon Prime. Lauren joined the show as an actor in Season 2, and by Season 3 had taken on executive and creative roles—including assistant director, producer, and director for multiple episodes—effectively helping to spearhead production standards while balancing artistry and efficiency.

Still drawn to performing, Lauren regularly appears on camera as an actress and model. She’s featured on TV (American Gangster: Trap Queens, Reckless Behavior), indie films (Ghosted, Sanity, Estranged, Hail Mary), music videos, and commercials. She also completed on‑set background roles in Boots Riley’s I’m a Virgo and Steph Curry’s Mr. Throwback, gaining firsthand insight into large‑scale production environments and honing her creative adaptability. Her experience in front of the lens gives her a rare dual advantage when directing others.

Lauren's design and consulting practice draws on a formal education and storytelling mindset that bridges aesthetics and strategy. She holds a BFA in Visual Communications & Experience Design from the University of Indianapolis (2014) and a Master’s in International Marketing from Hult International Business School (2015). Through Lauren Rascoe Creative, she supports clients in branding, marketing, graphic design, strategic planning, and visual storytelling, always with a creative lens that prioritizes emotional resonance and inclusive representation.

Oakland has continued to shape Lauren as a civic-minded artist rooted in curiosity and compassion. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she channels the sorority’s values into her community-driven collaborations and mentorship work. Whether assembling a small Bay Area crew or consulting with nonprofit teams, her ethos centers on elevating the voices around her—and doing so with intention, balance, and authentic joy.

If you're looking for a director/producer who understands both creative vision and technical filmmaking, or need an actor, visual designer, or brand consultant with storytelling at the core, feel free to connect anytime.

And yes, for Michael B. Jordan, it is that serious.
